Chamoli (Uttarakhand): In a miraculous rescue, a 32-year-old man was pulled out alive after being trapped for nearly 16 hours under debris caused by a massive cloudburst in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The incident, which occurred late Friday night, triggered flash floods, landslides, and widespread destruction in several villages.
NDRF and SDRF Teams in Action
Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to the site immediately after the cloudburst was reported. Rescue workers tirelessly removed boulders and mud to reach the victim, who was stuck under collapsed structures.
Officials confirmed that the man, though injured and dehydrated, was found alive and immediately shifted to a local hospital for treatment. His condition is said to be stable.
